Projected lift date: Fall 2026
Cross Lake Band of Indians in Manitoba is home to approximately 6,968 people on reserve. The community is repairing their current water treatment system and planning for a new water treatment plant.
There is 1 long-term drinking water advisory affecting 248 homes and 6 community buildings:
- A boil water advisory was set on the Cross Lake Natimek Public Water System in August 2025 and became long-term in August 2026
The drinking water advisory was originally issued while the community addressed water supply and system capacity issues. Most of the repairs to various parts of the water treatment and supply system have been completed since April, and only the replacement of the fire pumps remains. Once the fire pumps are installed and water quality testing confirms the system meets all the necessary standards, the community will be able to lift the advisory.
