Two audit reports were tabled at Parliament by the Office of the Auditor General of Canada in 2021 for which Indigenous Services Canada was scoped in.
2021 Reports - Report 6—Departmental Progress in Implementing Sustainable Development Strategies—Healthy Coasts and Oceans, Pristine Lakes and Rivers, and Sustainable Food
This review focused on whether federal departments and agencies contributed to meeting the 2016–2019 Federal Sustainable Development Strategy's goals of healthy coasts and oceans, pristine lakes and rivers, and sustainable food, as applicable to each organization. There were no recommendations for Indigenous Services Canada.
2021 Reports - Report 11—Health Resources for Indigenous Communities—Indigenous Services Canada
This audit focused on whether Indigenous Services Canada provided sufficient personal protective equipment, nurses, and paramedics to Indigenous communities and organizations in a coordinated and timely manner in order to protect Indigenous peoples against COVID‑19. Two recommendations were addressed to Indigenous Services Canada. The departmental response to address each recommendation can be found in the report (Tabling date of the report was May 26, 2021), in the section titled "list of recommendations".
