Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) conducted a number of recipient audits in fiscal year 2017 to 2018, including an audit of Nigigoonsiminikaaning First Nation. Please find attached a copy of the summary report and full audit report. This management letter and the summary report will be published in due time. Should you wish, you may provide a written response, pertaining to this audit within 30 days, which will also be published in due time.
As a result of this recipient audit, an amount has been identified for recovery. The audit report also includes recommendations to assist in improving management practices. We look forward to working together to develop a plan to address the audit recommendations. A regional ISC representative will contact you shortly to discuss the next steps.
