Ref:  2014 to 2015 fiscal year Recipient audit results and follow-up

Dear Chief Aaron Young:

Indigenous Services Canada (ISC), formerly Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC), conducted a number of recipient audits in fiscal year 2014 to 2015, including an audit of Stoney Band (Chiniki). Along with this management letter, please find attached a copy of the summary report and full audit report. This letter and summary report will be published in due time. Should you wish, you may provide a written response to me, pertaining to this audit within 30 days. Your response will also be published.

The audit report includes recommendations to assist in improving management practices. We look forward to working together to develop a plan to address the management recommendations.

As a result of this recipient audit, an amount has been identified and is subject to reimbursement. A regional representative of ISC will contact you shortly to discuss the next steps, including a reimbursement schedule.
