Dear Chief Furlong and Council:

Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC), formerly Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC), conducted a number of recipient audits in fiscal year 2017-18, including an audit of Inuvik Native Band. Please find attached a copy of the summary report and full audit report. This management letter and the summary report will be published on the department's website in due time. Should you wish, you may provide a written response to me, pertaining to this audit within 30 days. Your response will also be posted on the department's website.

The audit report includes recommendations to assist in improving management practices. We look forward to working together to develop a plan to address the management recommendations.

As a result of this recipient audit, no amount has been identified for recovery. A regional representative of CIRNAC will contact you shortly to discuss the next steps.

In the meantime, please contact your regional CIRNAC representative to discuss any questions or concerns you may have regarding this audit.
